Compliance
Description
This two day course will highlight the important attempt to coordinate efforts between Legal departments and IT departments in addressing the demands for timely and accurate eDiscovery operations. Attendees will gain an understanding of how all businesses today must connect the dots between legal requirements that address current eDiscovery requirements and the technical solutions meeting those requirements. We focus on the business applications that produce and consume Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and how that ESI can be managed for discovery through location and control of various data formats. We will attempt to establish a common language and identify key issues related to eDiscovery. Finally, we will discuss the importance of record retention policies in the context of Legal Hold Policies and Procedures so that relevant data is not inadvertently destroyed in the normal course of record destruction. A hands-on Lab will demonstrate the value and functionality of CommVault's Compliance Web Search Console to search, protect, and preserve ESI for final production and presentation. This course is offered on an on-demand basis, please contact your local Training Registrar for more information.
