As part of CommVault® DESIGN Services, our Migration Planning service helps customers manage an efficient and safe migration to CommVault data management, access and protection. Leveraging the aggregate experience of CommVault's worldwide services organization, Migration Planning services assist customers in planning associated with ensuring continued access to legacy data sets and aligning CommVault policies and practices with customer business requirements. Migration Planning ensures the shortest possible Time to Value in the migration to CommVault with the least amount of risk. A thorough review of the customer's data landscape results in comprehensive workflows and identification of risks and opportunities associated with a successful migration. Working closely with customer application, storage, and compliance personnel, CommVault's engineers and project managers define the tasks and timelines associated with the migration to CommVault management of data and account for the re-utilization of key customer system and storage assets in order to minimize the cost and disruption associated with this transition. These workflows may then be confidently executed by CommVault, CommVault Certified Partner, or customer personnel – or any combination of these personnel resources – to meet defined criteria for success.
