As part of CommVault® MANAGE Services, our eRecovery service helps customers to respond to legal and regulatory inquiry by leveraging the power of CommVault Search. CommVault provides hosted access to customer data sets through secure connection to the CommVault eRecovery facility in Oceanport, NJ. Complete Chain of Custody handling is used to safeguard customer data sets during the catalog and index process of specific data sets. The eRecovery process re-creates the customer CommCell environment in order to provide to create a complete searchable index of backup and/or archive data through CommVault's Web Search interface. CommVault eRecovery engineers coordinate access to this indexed data and provide oversight and training to customer personnel in order to facilitate secure and confidential searches of data in order to respond to legal, HR, or regulatory requests. Results sets from these searches are then returned to the customer through Chain of Custody in whatever format is required to respond to the Discovery request. On completion of this service, all data indices are destroyed and all data sets are returned to the customer, ensuring continued confidentiality of critical customer data sets.
